Just Bought my 2014 Chevy Sonic 1.4l turbo on 9/9/19

It has 99,330 miles on it.

Same day I bought it, it's turbo inlet tube blew off because of a broken clamp. So I only got 12 miles out of it. Took it back to there shop and they fixed it for free.

Next day got it back and drove it for work(Doordash), it was great untill end of night about 5 hours later I was sitting in the drive thru and it was idling in drive kinda weird, it was like it was pressurising the cabin, next morning my wife drove it for 5 hours for doordash also and told me it sounded like a hamster wheel spinning round. I listened to it when she got home and it seemed fine. No wobbly pulleys, pretty sure alternator bearing wasn't making noise. So we went to the store and left then all of a sudden the check engine light came on, took it back to the shop. Put about 150 miles on it. So now waiting for the shop to call.

I hope they figure it out, these are great little cars. Very fun to drive.

It's a 2014 silver Chevy Sonic 1.4l ltz automatic leather heated front seats. I know these would be more fun as a manual but my wife won't learn to drive stick and we share it.

Well I bout mine through CarMax so it has 90day 4,000 mile warranty, plus I bought a 150,000/36month extended warranty so I have almost 51,000 miles to be covered 250 deductable at CarMax or 300 at an outside shop.

Just to confirm, the 1.8L engine has the thermostat on the driver side where as the 1.4L has it on the passenger side?
All the diagrams I've seen keep giving me conflicting info.
