Got to be kidding me! Just needed some help!
We are now on a road trip and the car has our luggage hostage in the back!
Child lock off and double checked- Child lock works great on back doors.
Double clicked the remote entry many times- everything except back hatch works great
Moved the shift lever many times to make sure it thinks it is in park
Key in, key out, motor running, motor not- still hit the button on the trunk- no noise at all- hatch still will not open.
Read owners manual- Checked fuses under hood, checked fuses under steering wheel.
I am not for certain from the cryptic abbreviations which exact fuse I am looking for- it seems like they really want to keep it a secret which fuse controls the back hatch.
For grins- called Onstar- No intelligent life found there.
They said use the key fob to unlock the back hatch.
????Keyfob on 2012 Hatchback does not have a remote hatchback opener!!!!
Finally they just said call dealer- called dealer- local dealer in Georgetown Texas could not make a appointment to look at it for four days. In four days we will not even still be in Texas!
Is this a bad joke that Chevrolet played on Sonic owners, or is there really NO way to open the hatch from the inside or bypass the electric button above the license plate?
PLEASE HELP- anyone know of a way to get the rear hatch open short of a pry-bar to the lock from the inside??
