I have a 2013 sonic LT 1.8 fuel flex hatchback 5 speed. A couple years ago my car went in limp mode ( excuse me but my car would not pull a sick whore out of bed).turned out it was completely clogged Cadillac converter. My friend took the converter off and gutted it put it back on it was loud but worked great.the next issue arose last winter when it ran hot fan was not coming on changed fuse and it worked next issue I kept having to put water in both the radiator coolant hose were very soft and dry rotted had to be replaced did not fix the issue no heat either or air conditioner.a couple more hose had to be replaced then my mechanic asked if I knew not to put oil in my overflow bucket I laughed and said why yes he asked why I did then. Long story short it was the oil coolant had to be replaced because the o rings were pushing out replaced that then the water pump still no heat or air. Then replaced the heater coil and put new tubes. Then new tubes on the oil coolant .even when purging heat will last only about 30 mins .then another line or something has to be replaced the only thing we have not replaced is thermostat. We even replaced the overflow bucket. We know the thermostat is working .we are stumped. I need my car I have a son who has a massive stroke in another state and a daughter who has dr appointments I reli on this car please please tell me what or how to fix it .it has around 185,000 miles on it. Thank you all so much.cindy
So I am not sure how to log anything as it is not very clear, I guess, so I am simply telling you..I have a 2014 Chev Sonic and it has a water gurgling sound when I drive...Yea, it is an auto. Richard C
Here is my 10th post as a New Member! I bought a 2012 Sonic LT hatchback with 190k on it back in September of 24. I drive 30 miles each way to work in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and love this car! Back in 2011 I worked at a Chevrolet dealership in Houston, TX and was there when the Sonic first came out and I fell in love with them then. Of course at the time I was only 19 and new I couldn't afford one, so I told myself I would own one in my 30s when they're used and cheap with high miles! Lol
