Hello all (I'm posting under my wife's account here), we recently got her a 2014 Sonic LT sedan with the promo package. That's the limited edition Deep Magenta Metallic color that includes the sunroof, fog lamps and mylink. She fell in love with the color back when we first saw one while passing a dealership in late summer, but upon closer inspection disliked the lack of CD slot dictated by the mylink that is forced with the color. We tried to research if the mylink could be "downgraded" to the regular stereo with CD slot, but came up empty. Anyway, recently had my GM card topped off, so we went to take another look at it, and she decided the price was good enough to deal with the radio. Her car also has the 1.4 Turbo, all weather mats and cargo net.
We had to take the roof antenna off to get it to fit under the garage door, so we are looking into a shark fin. She doesn't listen to AM/FM, and the XM seems to play fine without the antenna, but it looks unfinished and I'm worried about water getting in there. I'm looking into the European Aveo headrests for the rear seat to improve visibility (and looks) too.
Also, her dad owns a '12 Sonic LT sedan, 1.4 Turbo/6A in Blue Topaz. After enjoying the added night illumination from the fog lights, she wants me to look into a fog lamp kit for his car now. For some unknown reason, GM packages them with upgraded wheels on the LT, but won't let the package be ordered with the 1.4 engine or I would have made sure he got them to begin with.
