What's up guys ive posted a couple times up here already but i thought i would introduce my self. My name is Dayne and im from little Washington NC. My car history is a bit strange but my first vehicle was a 99 Blazer 4x4 that i still own. After i started my first real career job i wound up buying a new 2012 Camaro 1LS, which is the base model so 3.6L V6 with a 6speed manual tranny but it still had 323hp which made it pretty fun sence with the manual tranny with the V6 its had a limited slip rear instead of an open diff so cooking both tires was easy and fun. I made some mods to the car including a SS front end swap and various go fast and light parts. I the Camaro for about a year before i got tired of the monthly payments and only having the V6. I traded my Camaro for a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with only 67k miles on the old reliable 4.0L straight 6. The unlimited model i had was a short run model as it was a TJ two door Jeep that was stretched to give rear passengers more room and actually have rear cargo room. They were made from 2004-2006 before they became the current four door model. I really liked the Jeep and was able to take it to the beach and to the Uwharrie mountains in NC for some rock crawling. I did the standard stuff like a small lift kit and larger tires but modded it mainly for rock crawling and the suspension could really flex. While i was getting a new lug stud installed that my local chevy dealer accidentally stripped i test drove a 2010 Camaro 2SS that i wound up trading the Jeep for that day. This Camaro was opposite my first as this one was fully loaded and had the powerful 6.2L LS3 V8 with a 6speed manual and was Inferno Orange Metallic with black stripes which was the complete opposite color scheme of my first 5th gen. This car was my favorite i loved the power, the sound, the looks plus its about the best looking car in its class. Well life happened and i decided to go back to school and start a career in high performance vehicle drive-trains. Unfortunately that ment i needed to move and get a new job making less money so i needed to let my baby go after just owning it for only 3 months. I called up my dealer and he told me about a Sonic he just back in as a trade that only had 800 miles on it and was a 2015 so basically it was brand new. I drove over and took a look at the Sonic that i now own. Its a far cry from my Camaro but is still a great car. Ive always liked the Sonic's and even though this one is a Sedan and i wanted the hatch with a turbo it still had a 5speed manual got great gas mileage had plenty of room plus i was able to buy for 10.5K!!! My only real complaints about the car is the lack of power windows and cruise control which to me in this day in age is not a luxury option and is standard most all cars today but i am working on putting in CC and can deal without power windows. The only thing the PO changed on the car was he took off the hubcaps and replaced them with just awful chrome nightmares so as soon as i left the lot i was in autozone and picked out the least worst set i could find but anyway here she is in Black Granite metallic which is the only premium option it has. I also tinted the windows to 35% as i did not like how easy it was to see in the car and is the darkest you can legally go in NC. I don't know what if an mods i will put on this beast but we shall see.
