Imagine how fast your PC would be if you sat your stock intake next to it!!! Or!! Imagine if you put on less powerful perfomance parts and threw all the stock parts they replaced in the trunk!! That would be double trouble.

Honestly, I'd say thinking out your mods is good advice. I'd also say don't just mod your car for the wrong reasons. Do what makes you happy.

I have to agree with you there, Ubryaj, that's the reason I'm dabbling in mods. The Sonic was great "out of the box". Heck, I didn't even need to upgrade from the 1.8, the base LS was great. But it's really making me happy to play around with my new toy... for the couple times a day when I'm screaming down an on-ramp, hammer down, before sedately cruise controlling my way to higher mpg numbers, two contradictory goals if it wasn't that the real goal, in each case, is just the "pursuit of happiness, with turbo"

What you don't realize is that it wasn't the big block, there was probably a stock air box in the room with you and you didn't realize it.

There was a stock '68 GTO air cleaner in the room...that must of been what did it.

And big blockstock airbox means huge performance, I wouldn't be suprised if it actually slowed down time in your garage!! :O

On a serious note I changed my avatar pic again, I'm just curious which you guys think is better my last one or the current one. I'm trying to maximize my SOF acount but that's not gonna happen without the best stock airbox pix

the pic looks great, how ever I'm begging to think we took this thread in the wrong direction... i mean it was meant to help steer newbs in the right direction and all we've done is joke around. we have to tell them about the new Super Duper Stock Airbox that is 20X larger than the SAB

Yea I'm thinking I did too.

It was a clear, BOOM stock airbox.

The new one is more like "this is the next best thing"

Also sorry TMOGUY maybe start an official mod thread, we kinda buggered your original one up

You forgot the "Here and Queer" theme. Autozone racing stripes, trendy stickers, steering wheel cover, Krylon paint on random interior parts, plush toys hanging from things, etc. It makes a bold statement...

It's bagged. Regular drive high is higher, but sometimes night time spark show are fun.

I figured as much. I had a 2000 Silverado (2/4 drop) that was pretty close to being bagged then I traded it in on a 03 SS Silverado and went the speed route from then on.
