Not a Sonic owner as of yet, but I'm planning on purchasing one within the next 6 months or so.

As you can tell by looking at my join date, I'm not really a new member, I've been lurking for awhile, but I figured with the new rules to cut down on spam, I'd go ahead and make my first post.

Started doing research on new cars back in December and hadn't even heard of a Chevy Sonic until then. I did a ton of reading on the car and was liking what I read, then saw my first Sonic in person (Black LS hatch. Sad that I can actually remember that.) while I was driving home from work back in January and fell in love. The LT hatch with the 1.4 is a little more than I originally was hoping to spend, which is why I've still got a few months to go before purchase.

Thanks for what looks to be a great forum, I can't wait to finally end up at a dealership and coming home with my own Sonic.

The rear lights are what kill the sedan for me. Love how it looks otherwise, just can't get past those lights. I actually saw a picture on here of a sedan that had most of it blacked that I think looks pretty good, just unsure how easy that is to do.

This one. http://www.sonicownersforum.com/forum/218465-post8.html Great looking car. I will say that once I saw this picture, it made me rethink only being interested in the hatch. I don't have a reason to buy one or the other, just prefer the look of the hatch more.
