2015 LTZ will not start with key. When key is turned it will crank for half a second and dim dome light then it does nothing and there is no amp draw. However, if key is turned to run position, and the start relay is removed and then jumped, the car will start. The start relay is good, which led me to believe it is the ignition switch. When ignition switch was removed from behind the key cylinder and then turned with a screwdriver the car will start but the security light will be illuminated. However, if I insert the key into the cylinder and then try and turn the ignition switch manually, then I receive the half second click and car will not start. This happens regardless of the key position (inserted, run, or start). I do not receive the security dash light when the key is inserted, so I do not think it is a security issue. Anyone have any insight? I have not had to take any of my cars to the stealership for repair in more than 30 years thanks to wonderful forums like this.
