Now that we got the basics down, lets move past that crap to the fun stuff IMO (in my opinion) Modifications available.
Intake - More air in = 34More air to fuel ratio = More power = racecar? Only available in SRI from Injen
Exhaust - More exhaust out = More efficient engine = More power= Racecar Solo Performance, SLP, Blora, and your custom exhaust shop can hook up up here.
Turbo Upgrade - Force air in + whoosh sounds = Racecar
SuperCharger kits - Homedepo+me=racecar
Cheap effective way to void anything you touch and ensure much laughter. Kit can be bought here. Hp gains over 9000

Nitros/Meth - 2 Fast 2 furious = Racecar?
Honestly i dont think anyone has tried it and i know nothing about it, DP and others will need to chime in here.
ECM/TCM Tune - Puter tell engine to vrum more = Racecar (engine control module and transmission control module parameters are changed to allow more power)
As of my last trip to a shop the only tuner for this is Trifecta. More info found here as well.
Conclusion = mistakes+gramar= ^

- Injen SRI can be purchsed from many pplz but our vendor TurboTechRacing sells it Here
- The Intake is Not that likely to cause a warranty issue and if you dont have a tune to support this mod it will be learned down to stock and be a nice little noise maker.

- The linkes above are Cat-Back systems. High flow second cats are available here and you can have it deleted completely if desired.
- I would follow DDM's suggestions for our 1.8 and rock the muffler no resonator set up as thats what i have and it works well, but this is all up to you and your note preference.
- Another sad note is that the exhaust tho compatable between 1.8 and 1.4 with some note difference, are not compatable between sedan and hatch and for a sedan the only route ive found is the custom shop.
- This is not likely to cause any warranty issue if you keep it 2nd cat back, anything altering the catalytic converters can and probably will void warranty around those items.

- Sadly there is no 1.8l turbo upgrade kit, why? no manifold.
- If there was a kit it would void what it touches, the engine
- when a kit comes out you will need a tune to even try to use this.

- This mod can void warranty if GM can find it, tho the 1.8 cannot go into transparent mode it is believed that it is still not identifiable, and it is its hard to see. Currently a fix is in the works
- Tunes are completely custom if you want it to be so any fuel type, mods, economy and shifting can be adjusted within reason.

- For those who may ask how i know, google and this forums is my friend. I have installed intake, cat back and tune. tho ive yet to get on a legit dyno, but my Torque app states my biggest run so far is 190hp, do they calculate for engine or wheels? thinking this is engine and thus we do the 15% reduction bringing it to a whopping 161.5hp up from the stock 138 so 23.5hp on a phone app, take it as you want it. o wamt it as 190 wheels so i live in la la land with my leaf blower supercharger kit.
