Not true.
1) GM could still be building the sonic even having to go through bankruptcy.
2) I think the went bankrupt anyway.

beaslbob, you don't know for sure that the Sonic would have been produced in the US if GM went thru bankruptcy in 2009. As I said in a later reply (which was moved to the other thread by a Moderator): http://www.sonicownersforum.com/forum/t695/

Point is, back in 2009, GM's weakest market was the USA, there is really strong competition in the sub-compact field, for very low profit margin, also they had not yet spent the $100's of Million to upgrade Orion plant. If they were going thru bankruptcy, the Sonic may not have been offered in the US at all...
