You do not need to do anything. Allocation is subject to "passes" but a retail sold order that has no constraints will be picked before a store order. GM can tell when it is a retail sold order, so no concern there. Allocation is the number of a car that can be ordered by a particular dealer. I make this process sound easy, but believe me I am simplifying the living daylights out of it. The complexity is related to each state having their own franchise laws AND court suits. If your dealer is given one allocation and you are the only retail sold order you get picked first even if the dealer has a handful of store orders. This was not always true and the fact that it is true now is a good thing.

I am a HD Radio fan, in my opinion a much better/more complete sound than XM or FM so I am looking forward to your assessment.

Does the allocation to order process happen automatically once GM opens up the ordering? Or do I need to have my dealer take some sort of action?

I didn't think the Sonic had an HD radio option?

MyLink2 reportedly includes HD Radio but the Ordering Guide description of MyLink does not which is why I asked Jennie421 to report if it does. She is an early order for the LTZ and MyLink2 is standard equipment for the LTZ as well as the RS.

Actually I ordered the LT model, with mylink and 6 speakers as an upgrade. But I will still let you know how it is. Got pricing today, now they just need to build it!!!
I am being impatient.

From the RPO's laborsmith, MyLink comes standard on the LT and LTZ and the MyLink automatically includes premium sound

Still, I want to know what the MSRP is lookin like as well!

I did not go back to check, but I believe premium sound would be standard on both but MyLink is an option for the LT and standard for the LTZ and the RS.

LT hatchback auto is $17,520, not including destination fee. MyLink is optional at a cost of $200 and connectivity and cruise are standard on the 2013 LT's. Turbo remained $700. Taxes, title, etc are extra.



I believe I was upgraded to premium sound when I ordered MyLink (but I'm not 100% sure). I will be making a deposit in about an hour so I'll try to remember to ask my dealer.

I just put in a factory order at my local dealer. I was quoted a price which I believe is MSRP - 2013 LTZ HB, 1.4L Turbo Automatic, Summit White, Sunroof, MyLink Touch - $21,470 (excluding taxes, fees etc).

I should be getting the car in 8-10 weeks (hopefully).

Lathia- Yes, this the 2LT model (automatic). I added Turbo and MyLink to my Sonic. Check with your dealer, I was able to get a price almost equal to last year including the Turbo, myLink and destination fee. It came out to be a couple hundred more.
