Bend the fender? No. You could have a rally fender flare professionally installed at a high cost.

Without modifying the fenders, you may be able to go with 9" and serious stretch, but you'll want a 9" wheel with 42et.

42? lol thats stock and wouldnt that make the wheel not deep dish im confused, i was going for more like 20 i dont think they make the wheel i want in 42 et

preloader look up esm-002r i want to do them in 17x8.5 with a 20 offset? I might stagger front to rear but the front would have to be like a 17x7 in front if i do the 8.5 rear im going for a certain look i got to make this happen.

42et with stock 6.5" wheel. 9s will add 1.25" in each direction. You'll end up with ultra flush, trust me. I didn't know offsets well until I played with spacers and read every single post I could find about offset.

I suggest you cruise the forums and soak in as much as you can. Also wiki has a good offset explanation.

The posts I was referring to were posts #84 and #85.

If you read the thread I posted (more specifically, that long post I wrote. haha), you would have read that offset varies based on the width of the wheel. (Hopefully, my explanation isn't too confusing. lol ) For example, a +30 offset on an 8" wide wheel is going to be more aggressive than a +30 offset on, say, a 7" wide wheel.

For every inch wider you go, the offset changes by about 12mm in terms of how much poke you get. (so a 17x8 +30 will have about the same amount of poke as a 17x9 +42)

In the meantime, do what Preloader said. lol

ok this isnt as greatly done as "Thaifight-R's" version of the hatch but it gives a pretty good idea of how it might look as the Sedan. Would allow for some trunk space after the top was brought down if engineered correctly. I think chevy and GM need to do a convertible version of the sonic. would bring the FUN factor of the sonic to a new level... opcorn:
