oil leaking from intercooler pipe!

has anyone had any issue with this? i was under the car last night and saw it was leaking.

Not necessarily in that order... depending on how much you like the car.

I am sorry to say, if you have oil in the intercooler piping it's an 80% chance you blew your turbo.
Have you been riding it super hard, towing heavy equipment, etc?
It's possible that it's a PCV or similar issue, as I don't know all the routing.

Take it to the dealer, if you have a tune reflash it, anything that might void your warranty, intake, downpipe, etc, remove it if possible.

Let us know how it goes.

It just hit 12k. I didn't notice it until I let out all the oil and was looking around for leaks. I haven't seen any smoke.

Not to hard. Just a couple pulls while getting on the freeway. Nope no towing or carrying heavy things

This lessens the chance that it's something bad.
If you changed the oil then found oil it's possible that oil got on the piping, not necessarily coming out of it.

I meant I let the oil drain first and as it was draining I checked for leaks so I didn't get a chance to check the oil level of the old oil.

Note, if the oil was truly coming from inside the intercooler, there would also be a pressure leak and most likely a loud whistle. And it would be blowing oil everywhere. It's probably from the turbo and dripping down the outside of the pipe. Leaking boost would be noticeable. In and of itself, leaking oil is not a serious issue. It's when there is no more oil that things become catastrophic.

So, first thing to do is check the oil level. If low, refill. If not, it's probably not oil.

Regardless, take it in for service.

how close is this to the filter? physically leaking from the pipe would indicate a hole in the pipe too.

Any chance you swapped in an oiled filter element and over oiled the element? Has happened to me before on my ATVs.

oil filter housing is not close to the intercooler piping. kinda sits over the trans. PICS!!!!

My guess is the OP found that it was nothing to do with a problem and didnt post again because he'd be embarrassed.
