Open Track Day May 25

There is an open track day scheduled for May 25th at Waterford Hills Race Course in Clarkston MI. Waterfordhills.comThe entry fee is $180 and that gets you multiple 20 minute sessions. To quote a friend of mine, " I would hate to run out of TALENT on one of those curves at Waterford". My buddy slammed his Ferrari in turn 3 few years back . Makes me want to stay far away. Because ...D/D

I'm a turn marshal there and I've seen many cars lose it @ turn 3. But that is the risk when you take your car to the track.

Do you marshal at any other events? I got into it a couple of years ago with the GrandAm cars at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I just worked the Indy Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago. Can't get a better spectator seat then that.

Yes. The main reason for loosing it is going into the turn there is a little right hand turn that upsets the suspension a little. That or the rear drive cars can get on the throttle too early coming out of 3 and spin.

Typically I do. I used to go down to Mid-Ohio for the ALMS/Indy race first weekend in August, but my brother was upset I kept missing his birthday that weekend. (he's not into racing.)
I usually work the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, (this weekend) but this being my first year as a Dad, I've taken the year off to be with my family.
We are also asked to go help at Gingerman and Gratton over in West Michigan for regionals or nationals.
