Hello all,
I'm Mike and I need to get rid of one of my vehicles. I'm trading in a Silverado that doesn't see work or dirt anymore and it's not the best commuter for a grad student. So I test drove over 20 new/used cars in the 12-24k$ price range, all manuals with fun or not so fun motors. I was really sold on the sonic hatch 6 spd 1.4 turbo. It's not the best of any one thing but it's like a cheap swiss army knife in car form. Loved it. I'm sure it'll be boat loads of smiles with a tune, and with the mpg not too many frowns. I like the smoother ride of the base models over the RS.
Looking at ordering a white sonic LT or LTZ, with sunroof and a few other goodies.
Questions before ordering in the next month or two:
-does the LT or LTZ hatch come standard with cruise control?
-in the 2012 LT hatch I test drove, the headrests come off of the seats. Is this the same with your 2013 or 2014 sonics? This is important and I axed VW's from the list for this; I need to stuff long boards in there to drive to the beach faster than with em on the roof.
- if you have an LTZ with the leather/pleather seats and somehow you've worn them in by now, maybe with a lot of dogs or teething children, how well do they take to wear... meaning do they rip/tear or crease easily?
