Performance 6T40 & 6T45 transmissions

So I came across this website, they sell the 6T40 & 6T45 transmissions as an upgrade for performance.

Also, their website doesn't mention upgraded specs, is full of marketing phrases and diagrams that don't really tell you anything, and contain typos. I would not feel comfortable buying from them.

Here are the spec difference. 6t40 for 180hp, 177tq, and 6t45 for 215hp and 232tq. So significant bump up.

I think you misunderstood, or maybe I wasn't clear. It wasn't about the spec difference between the 6T40 and the 6T45. There is an obvious improvement there. This site claims to sell performance variants of the 6T40 and 6T45. I was saying that while they claim these transmissions outperform OEM, they don't give any solid specs on how. It's all just gimmicky market language. There's another site almost exactly the same: 6T40 Transmission for Sale | 6T40E Rebuild With Torque Converter.

Ah I see. Reading their site seems they use better tested parts for better reliability more than upgraded clutch plates and hard parts to handle more power. Some Trans repair shops do enough repairs of one type of trans over time that they recognize what keeps failing and they would know what to parts would be "better" when rebuilding a trans. So makes sense what they outlined. But you can get a low mileage 6t45 for less than $400 and installation is about $1000 or 6-8 hours of labor depending on the mechanics experience with the job.

Idk. Just seems sketchy to me and any info out there about them seems to be negative. I'm just giving a heads-up that I would tread with caution.
