Challenge:

take the hatch from this link: 2013 Chevrolet Sonic for sale in Abilene - 1G1JH6SBXD4159386 - Holm Automotive Center

Put these stripes on it, but in silver, along the same lines color-wise as the rims:

Then I can't decide if I want to accent my bowties with red, as in the same red on the RS badge, or if I am going to go with a gray carbon fiber.. help with what that would look like?

Insanika, going off what you posted and the pictures you provided. here is what i came up with. Hope this helps you out or atleast gives you an idea of what your looking for.

I thought it would be. And the black is too much as well. Looks like it'll be gray cf. Perfect mockup FA! I do love the subtleness of the silver. Yay!

If your gonna do gray cf then maybe you wanna change the chrome trim color? It looks weird in my head. Kinda see the emblem blending in camo style with the gray on gray action. Unless that is the point.

At the moment I like the gray/silver/chrome, eventually I may come to dislike the chrome, but for now it fits with my color scheme, unlike some of the sportier colors in the RS trim, which I think the chrome really does not suit. I am unsure what to do with the bowties for sure, I know they can't stay gold, it's so freaking out of place it's not funny. Any ideas? I have thought about doing the overlays in the same vinyl as the stripes.

Edit: Black only on my trim around a silver or gray cf bowtie? keeping the rest of the chrome for now?

Yeah I would turn the chrome trim around the bowties to either gloss or flat black, or even gunmetal. A darker or brighter color. Something that breaks it apart from the trim to the paint. Maybe someone can rip a gray cf color swatch and put that up on the picture to see how much it may blend in with chrome. This is my opinion though. I want them to pop SOME but still match with the color theme of the car. I think if I did black it'd need to be somewhat flat, the black on the car already is all flat. Well except the interior pieces. Hmm. Just gotta get it and then play around.

second is with dark grey Carbon Fiber Bowties...

While you're here.. should I be that worried about wheel weight unless I'm trying to min-max for speed/mpg?

Edit: I also noticed none of the pictures I'm finding have the black, it's all silver

Unless you have an automatic, are trying to break qtr mile records or mpg records, wheel weight shouldn't be an issue. And honestly, stock Audi wheels shouldn't be that heavy.

It looks like the ones I referenced where painted custom, but they look pretty sweet in stock form too.

I really like these stripes, and have seen them on google images, when searching for stripes, but the missing outline stripe on the lower right just bugs my OCD. lmao
