Very reliable. Motor is excellent, runs 32 mpg winter and 38 summer.

Has started reliably every winter Temps down to minus 32 F.

I have had a couple front stabilizer bar repairs also valve cover gasket replacement. The leak was very minor but wife insisted on the repair.

To me, the biggest story is how well the body is holding up. Here in Minnesota they use a lot of road salt, but the Sonic does not show it.

There was a coolant issue, some leak. This was about 50,000 miles back. There were drips on the concrete. This was repaired by the dealer and it seems to be fixed.
