pictures of HID beam

looking for pictures of beam patterns of HID. i've searched and checked and cant find what i'm looking for

i would like a list of pix that show what your beam pattern is, and what kit you have.

The beam pattern you get depends greatly on what projectors you get. Different projectors spread light differently. Referring to the thread listed above, there is a link showing beam spreads of the projectors in the thread. FX-R Bi-xenon Projectors

Check my sig for beam output on my retrofit. I dont know of any beam pics on here of HID kits w/o projectors.

I don't think anyone ever posted pics without projectors, but people have said it's the same beam pattern as stock (obviously), just a lot brighter.

obviously not...otherwise i wouldnt be high-beaming everyone who uses HID in trucks/suv's. (sorry, no yelling or griping or anything else sarcastic)

the light source is in a completely different position from a halogen coil. it's further forward, and turned up to 180* out from original. plus the reflectors on the bulb itself isnt even present in a HID bulb.

however, i will not say that on a sonic that it's not possible for the beam pattern to be close to the one from factory. but, if you look at the bulbs there's no way the light source is coming from the same angle. i would be awesome to be the same though, and i hope so.

any way, thanks for the responses, but there's got to be someone proud enough to take a few pix of their HID setup WITHOUT PROJECTORS

my whole point is, i dont want to be one of those jerks that have super bright lights shining in a completely random pattern that does no good to the driver, or the other drivers on the road

yeah....i'm here and not here sometimes. i'm busy with life. however, i really dont want to be one of those guys with the lights everyone hates. i love the intensity and the brightness, but also i like the cutoff pattern for the factory lights...just below the hood, and in a straight line out.

bright lights are great, if they're controlled. i would love a 55w set of HID but i'm not going to endanger other people on the street. i'm no hippocryt and would appreciate it if other poeple had that same mindset.

I just installed a kit with the stock reflector housings. Still has the same stock focal points and cut-off line. There is some mild scatter above the cut-off line, but nothing like the blinding nightmares we've all seen out there. It looks excellent, I'll have to take some pics for you guys.

Here you go. You can see a little scatter above the main beams. This is about as good as it gets with reflectors.

nice!!! thats a pretty good cut off! 35 watt Im assuming?
