Plasti Dip for anyone with questions

Advice on plasti dip'ing headlight trim. For those who have been successful... Did you spray everything including the headlights and just peel away when dried?

you tape off a little but basically spray the whole thing and peel what don't need.

If you pop the hood you don't need to tape it and just drop a sheet over it.

Another tip if you didn't know is heat the cans of dip in a bucket of hot water prior to spray and keep them warm between coats as well. This will help it spray and flow better, the more coats the better and when you think it looks good put two mor coats lol. You'll thank me when you go to peel it off if you ever do.

What brand did you use, or is there only one brand?

I used plastidip and only because that's what I'm familiar with, been spraying with it for years.

There is a few other brands but I've never used any of them.

Sooo frustrated! I was able to get these done today. But, my bowtie keeps ripping, and the tail lights are crapping out every time I try. I'm trying to do the rings red and the rest grey. I cannot get the rings to not tear when I am done. I did 10 coats today. #$&@!

Key is very light first two layers ending up with at least 6 in total. Also I removed and then cleaned the taillights with soapy water and cleaned the front bumper chrome trim with windex. I've got 6 coats on the taillights and 6 on the chrome trim up front. I wish I had been more patient and done 8+ coats on the front trim, I worry about durability with rocks and road debris.
