Niiiice, this is how a white Sonic should look like. Dont like the black parts with white...should be solid all around... for any car in white actually.

Thanks for the positive feed back! I plan on dipping the grill and headlights white next. Doing purple accents all around. I still can't decide between purple or white wheels. Performance wise I'm hoping to do full borla 2.5" catback exhaust.

B pillar is just vinyl over the paint. You should peel the dip and the vinyl to get a body colored pillar.

Where are you in MN? I'd recommend purple wheels. I have a thread from a year ago or better, I was going to start planning my car, but I've run into problems and I haven't been able to buy a new car yet so I'm stuck with my Cobalt as my DD longer yet.

My idea for wheels is to get the ASA GT06 wheels and have a local shop (Powder Keg Custom Coatings in St Paul...McKnight and 36) do them in their Illusion Purple with gloss clear.

My plans have been of course delayed since I haven't been able to buy my Sonic yet...but I'm also kind of happy because now they've finally got the Dusk sedan on the Chevy site and now that I can see what the actual production car is going to look like, I may have to get that instead of a white hatchback.

I have a friend in Arizona do the exact same thing to this white sedan and I would highly recommend not doing the wheels in white Plastidip since they turn brown really fast area always dirty looking. Just an FYI from a friends personal experience.

I don't think he was planning on dipping the wheels...I think he's referring to getting wheels in white or purple or having them powder coated to one of those colors.

Yea, I plan on buying wheels that are the color I want already or having them painted. I also am going to be having somebody actually paint the parts I plastidipped because I didn't do a very great job and most of it is peeling already. AND a bird pooped on some of the dip....

If its peeling already, you didn't put it on heavy enough, or water got behind it before it was dry.
After you dip a full car leave it inside for AT LEAST 24 hours to let the dip dry completely.

As was already said, those parts on the door are just stickers and will come off carefully with a razor blade.

I only sprayed the black plastic, I didn't dip the whole car. But I am going to be spraying some purple on this weekend along with respraying some faulty white spots.
