I despise the "dip" and I expected it to look horrible, but it doesn't. I would've used regular paint, but I think it looks decent.

Honestly, I just wasn't interested in making any permanent alterations to my interior, so this is as good as it will get for me. Apparently, Foxbox thinks I should start tying up a noose for this sinful act, lol.

I don't understand why there's so much hate. It has its time and place. If you want to temporarily change your color, just like vinyl would, why not. If your intention is to use it like paint and have no plans to remove it, you will be in for a rude awakening. It WILL break down and get brittle over time which makes it hard to remove.

I have a VERY large dip project happening in the coming weeks. Haters gonna hate!

I agree, a mod is a mod is a mod is a mod!!!!!

If you take an item and make it not look stock you modded it, whether it was; painted, dipped, chromed, powder coated, wrapped, ceramic coated, anodized, or any that I missed.

I have no clue where all the hate for dip comes from but I could care less that some people don't like it as not everyone has unlimited $$$$$$$$ to throw at a $16,000 econobox. I take that back "some" as I have seen some bad dip jobs I've also seen bad paint jobs too.......So does a bad paint job = a mod while a perfect dip job = no mod????

Haters are gonna hate that is there goal in life. So do what makes you happy and mod away how ever you see fit for the vehicle you're paying for.

I think the resounding difference between paint and dip is that paint is generally excepted as "more permanent" than dip.

I'll be honest I really don't like the red, but that is a personal preference. Your work is awesome though. Extremely clean!

Yes, exactly. That's actually why I chose to use dip instead of paint.

You may like the look a bit more in person. It matches the other red from the RS styling very well. Either way, thanks for an honest opinion. There is one small spot on the speedometer that made me cringe, though. I very slightly frayed the dip on one edge. It's less than a 1/4 inch. Most people I've shown the work to can't even notice the flaw unless I point it out, but it does irk me to think about it, haha. Mostly happened since it was my first time working with plasti dip and I'll know how to avoid it in the future.

Oh, and thank you to those of you who cared enough to not make this into a "Plasti Dip is Awesome Vs. Plasti Dip is for Pansies" thread, lol.
