Power windows buttons

I would love to either install the Focus system, (preferably on all four, but at any rate on the driver's window,) or to get the driver's window to just act like the other four, and to heck with the Express function, I don't like it as much as I hate it.

I am fairly sure that touching it again stopped it. But I could be crazy.

I find that, if I only want it down a tiny bit, I only touch the button and it doesn't express down.

As for getting rid of the express down and up, Im 90% sure that a battery disconnect will reset the module and you have to "reprogram" it. You only need to hold the button down after it is all the way up or down. So if swordsmith wants he can do away with the express down and still have express up. Hint, Hint...

Just the one for the driver's window. Kind of a cheap move by GM, but at least the switches are located properly.

I drove a rental Focus a couple months ago, and all four windows were Express, but the express worked much more coherently; touch the window button and it starts moving in the direction you specified (up or down) touch it a second time and it stops regardless of whether that second touch was up or down.

The windows in my Sonic definitely operate just like you are describing in the Focus minus the other three windows having express of course but when you touch the button again it stops

I too find the express driver window annoying. I find it's similar to older Chevy express switches, just more sensitive, less gating, and less non-express travel.

If you just push it a tiny it, it won't express. I have noticed a gate between express and non-express, but it's very subtle. you really have to be aware of what you're doing, or you'll go right over it. I find the travel ratio is about 10% non-express, and 90% express.

Extremely annoying.

Fortunately for me, I'm usually an all-the-way-down or all-the-way-up driver.
