production numbers

anyone know how many RS sonics are out there. I heard only 5% of production on the sonic line are RS cars.. is this true?? just curious as I see a lot of the LT cars sitting on the lots and very
few of the RS cars...

5% of total 2013 Sonic production were to be RS flavored, which would mean about 4200 Sonic RS cars were assembled.

. Dang they trying to single handedly save Chevrolet with the sonic??? And not alot of RS's out there.. kinda rare in fact

Chevy sells trucks, cars are just a side order for them. I think they sell about 160,000 Cruze models every year. On the other hand, they sold about 12,000 Corvettes in 2012 and maybe 14,000 in 2013. So, 84,000 is not a save.

I have not seen the reasoning behind limiting Sonic RS production but suspect the limiting factor was the front seats. Suspect, do not know.

love there trucks, had a 2007 classic 1/2 ton extended cab 4x4 then traded it in for a 2007.5 nbs crew cab diesel that had extras. ltz version. divorce took it and my toy hauler. so now I drive a 2000 jeep Cherokee as my workhorse for the house pullin the utility trailer and off road and the sonic for my every day driver. oh well. live and learn. sure wish I had my truck though
