Quick release steering wheel

So I'm new to owning a sonic. I have had my 2012 LT hatch for a year. I've done some minor mods to it but I'm looking to try and start modding my interior.
I am going to get an aftermarket head unit so I know I will loose my steering wheel controls for that. But I am also wanting to instal a quick release steering wheel. From what I understand, disconnecting the air bag throws an srs light.
Is there anyway to get rid of the light? And will there be any negative drawbacks to having the srs light on? Or will I just have to learn to ignore it?

Oh and if anyone has some links to parts that will work for sure then that would be much appreciated.

The biggest drawback is not having an airbag. Often you can get around the light by putting a resistor in where the airbag would plug in. That resistance is what lets the computer know there's an airbag installed.

NRG seems to make a short hub to adapt the quick release for a sonic. Also says it has the resistors with it.
Not sure of anyone who's used it though.

Thanks for the reply. I dont mind not having an air bag. My state doesnt do inspection so I dont have to worry. I didnt know if anyone has has done it before and there is nobody else locally that has modded Sonics.
