Little late to comment about the donut cake candle thinger - my guess is it was a birthday donut cake thinger, and she had just blown out the candle, hence the smoke...

Had to take some CAD training today and the company doing the training also sells 3D printers. I asked them if I could see it work and they said yeah, get them a file. I downloaded a Garrett Turbo scaled 1:5. It took about an hour to print. Its pretty amazing technology!
