My new exhaust clamp cam in and I decided to toss the SLP tip on for a bit. It fortunately takes away the resonance at lower rpm's and my rear view mirror does not vibrate much at all durning that rom range. Unfortunately.... I still don't like the big exposed tip. Pecker has given me his opinion already (and Chris, you can share here as well.......lol). What's everyone else think?
Also, got some good driving time on the DDM intake. It was running about 8-12 degrees warmer than ambient and would rocket up about 25-30 degrees at stop lights and then would come right back down once rolling. The RNI would be 15-35 above ambient and wouldn't come down as far or quick as the DDM. I might see if I can fab up a lid and see if that helps any. I just really don't want to do any work on the shield, it looks great as is and the idea I have would need three holes drilled in it.

It actually doesn't angle at all, just comes straight out. What the real problem is is there is no relief cut in the rear bumper cover to lift the tip up onto making it just awkward. I will get some more pics of it and post them up. If MBS doesn't come back with a ridiculous number for an 18" piece of pipe stretch to slip fit on on end and 45 degreed to a tip on the other I will be rolling the turn down again.

mmmm...lower ur car and put the siebon back lip on it with that tip. just a suggestion. thats what im goin to do. o btw. how much was the SLP with shipping?? im gonna do that same thing.

I was thinking maybe the 3D carbon might look better with the SLP tip. Luckily it's a single bolt and I can make it look any way I want. I got the cat back off of SLP's eBay store for 399 shipped and 8 bucks for a aluminized slip fit pipe, 9 for junky turn down tip and 12 for a quality stainless 2 1/2 exhaust clamp totaled out my cost to make it work on a sedan.

sweet bro thanks. I also was thinking about the 3D carbon as well. But i was also thinking about putting on a dc sport muffler instead tho....idk.. i need to see it with the kit on before i make a choice

I think that tip looks good but it would look allot better tucked in a bit more.
Also, do you have any plans for the wheels you bought? New finish or coating maybe?

The factory bumper cover is the problem with any kind of tailpipe exiting on the sedan. You can tell its awkward in Borla and DDM sedan cat backs and if DDM would have went with a factory tailpipe i probably would have spent the extra cash on them.
I want to go with a gunmetal/argent dark grey but might just slap them on a new set of tires. I'm impatient but my dad has been busy and hasn't shipped them yet.... So the longer he waits the more I lean back towards waiting until I get back from deployment and powder coating them before putting the tires on.

I would wait and powder coat them, you might never get around to it or just keep putting it off for a long period of time if you just slap them on. Also you might as well get some more miles out of the stock tires before the swap.

Tmo, I think I will probably just end up throwing them on and just be happy that I'm not rolling 15's anymore.... If I want something different there's always preschool arts and crafts time and they can easily be black. I think I just want to get the 15's off and see if I can find them a new home.
