REAR camera died after recall service

Help! brought my 2014 sonic with 28000 miles to dealer last friday after receiving several postcards after 3 1/2 hours I went home exhausted later that evening when backed out of my garage my rear camera didn't work called only had one appt available this week I couldn't make and they advised me that i would have to pay a 112 diagnostic fee and it wasn't related to the software fix they made on ignition chime (which had not been an issue) I dont want to get stuck paying 200 or more for a minor connection issue as it works once in a while could I bring it to a radio stereo shop? advice please I tried to do factory reset

That was a common issue caused by the reprogramming. The dealer is trying to cover their butt, it is 100% related to the software update. They have to fix it for free, there are TSB's on this. It happened to me, as well as other users on the thread.
