Rear Wiper Motor 2012 Sonic LT hatchback

Hello All,

Has anyone here replaced a back wiper motor? Is it something that would be an easy repair?

My 2012 Sonic LT hatchback has a broken wiper motor and my wiper is now hanging downwards. I’d like to replace myself if possible…Where could I find the part that is reliable online? What tools would I need? Any help is greatly appreciated. I just sunk over $1500. In repairs for a cam cover, water pump, tune up…etc., I’d like to try to do some things on my own. I also need to replace the passenger side sun visor…Below are photos of Guinevere, yes I named her LOL.

Is the motor broken or just the plastic arm that connects to the bolt? Thats where mine broke.

Well, we figured out that the wiper could be snapped back in to place, somehow it had popped out and the motor works but our squirter does not…is that separate motor?

The fluid nozzle is up under the lip at the top of the window, probably powered by the same pump that washed the windshield. If the front works but not the back the hose may be disconencted, kinked, or clogged.

Do you have any information on how we access that nozzle to check the hose? We did find it and I’ve watch tutorials on the front but have not been able to find any for the back…I saw where they used a safety pin to clear the nozzles on the front of one and thought maybe we could do that to the back somehow…is there a way to disconnect the nozzle at the back to check the hose?
