Rearview Camera Wire Run

Hi, gang. I've purchased an Alpine ilx-007 unit and a Clarion CC510 rearview camera. I feel fairly confident installing the head unit in the console but it is the rearview camera I'm worried about stumping me. I don't even know where to begin on how to run the wire from the back to the front. Any pointers?

Running the wir was the biggest challenge for me. Ran fom camera under hatch cover through grommet for brake light then down to back up light for power and up drivers side roof cover then down to dash and over to glove box where I plug into the port.
Total PITA, but love the backup camera.

I ran mine on the driver side kick panel. I've got it attached to the rear at the top and the wire is behind the plastic panels, only a little loop sticks out for slack while the hatch is open

Follow the stock wiring in the hatch till your in the car. Then tuck it away in panels up to the front. Super easy. I do them all the time.

I think the downward path is the way to go. I don't want to go anywhere near the panel airbags. I guess I'll just have to take it slow. The camera comes with 23 ft of power and RCA so plenty to work with.

Ummm, so I have no idea how to get the camera cable from the outside of the car (license plate frame mount) to the inside. Am I supposed to drill a hole in my car? That thought is horrifying!

run it with the license plate light wiring, you have to unbolt the piece above the license plate.
