It's asking me for my username and password. I have no idea what it is. Got eh confirmation email with my account number so I can get my username and login. Account number always brings up "Sorry we are having technical difficulties." I miss being able to keep an eye on my oil percentage and tire pressure but every time I try to login with my account number I get this message.

Any input?

Mine occasionally loses the login to the app as well. I sign in using my username created on the website, not the account number.

Have you tried the "Forgot username" link on onstar.com (after you click Account Login over on the right?)

If you buy a Sonic that statement is so not true as to boggle my imagination.

When you bought your Sonic, $695 of the cost was attributed to OnStar,

So you are correct in stating you do not have to pay for it if you do not want it UNLESS you want to buy a Sonic (or any number of GM and other auto maker products) in which case you have paid for it.

OnStar is GMs most profitable division. I wonder why.

I apologize for any confusion caused by my original post. I was working and had to just focus on getting it out there quickly.

I don't know my username. I never had to log in prior to this problem. Now that I have to log in, I used the "forgot username?" feature and received my account number by email. I enter the account number into the system in order to acquire my username and I end up with a "We're sorry we are experiencing technical difficulties" message. So I can't get my username.

I miss having the feature on my phone so I can check the oil percentage and tire pressure so I'd like to get it up and running as soon as possible. But it's been several days of me trying to get my username so this is why I'm asking.

If my onstar subscription has ended and not renewed, could this be the culprit? I bought the car 7 months ago and I just rolled 7300.

Right. Go to www.onstar.com click setup account. Type in account number. Type in the password you created when you first setup onstar in your car. Go to the next page. At this point you should be creating a username.

For most Chevy products, OnStar is good for six months then you must start paying for it in a more direct way. Buick is two years and Cadillac three years.

I hope people notice my OnStar rants are less strident of late.

If one Googles OnStar productivity a wealth of information is available. As to the specific statement, that is based on a local television news report so I have no link.

For any curious readers, OnStar generates about $1.5 Billion annual profit for GM.

I like some of the tools of OnStar, some others not to much. It's kinda creepy that OnStar is wired in to just about everything in the car. I actually hesitated buying a Chevy because of OnStar. It seems like a nice piece of mind tool, but it's not worth $15+/month to me. However, I'll gladly pay $85/year for XM.

OnStar nagged me via phone, email, and snail mail for weeks before my trial ran up. My other trial is getting ready to run out, so I'm sure I will be nagged again.
