removing B pillar stickers?

Has anyone removed these ugly matte black stickers that are covering what appears to be a nicely painted B-pillar??

They seem to me to just be stickers, and underneath is the same paint the rest of the car is painted with.

Why Chevy covered the paint to make it look like a cheaper car is beyond me.

Has anyone attempted to remove these? Any pics? Any recommendations??

I have considered it but not sure I want to define the second door, I would like a better looking surface even if it's black.

Post up pics if you do. I personally like how the black breaks up the paint and blends/flows with tinted windows, but, the cheap tape they use does look bad and mine was peeling at the edges within months of buying mine.

I think removing them looks good on some Sonic's, depending on the paint color and other things like whether or not the windows are tinted. Some members have reported the stickers getting sun faded and wanting to remove them due to that.

I personally think they look good, but I've wondered if a good quality carbon fiber overlay would look even better!

I did it sorry guys just saw this. It wasnt too bad. Its like a vinyl wrap but much more sturdy. It took a while to get it all off. A heat gun really helps loosen up the adhesive. It wraps into the inside of the door and then under the window gasket. A bit of goo gone gets the rest of the adhesive off. Total time was probably 30 40 minutes for all 4. I used a plastic pry tool to help because my fingers were going numb.

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat tape to loosen adhesive, peel staple off clean with goo gone.....

It's just like removing a sticker or decal from your car.

I remember seeing a pillar wrap display when I was buying my car. You can change it to a different look like carbon fiber, chrome, brushed metal etc. I'm not sure if it was a chevy thing or just a dealership thing. Either way if you don't like it you can go to any sign shop and buy vinyl and redo it if you don't like it.
