Removing the vinyl between the door windows.

Has anyone done this yet? I picked a little away from the portion that folds/hides away on the inside of the door before realizing that it wasn't something that is supposed to be removed on new vehicles like the random plastics that were around the car to protect while shipping.

So, has anyone removed it? Is it painted/clear coated underneath? I have a black sedan, and would really like to take it off. I think it really cheapens the look of the car as a whole.

Nope sorry that is a new one for me ! you are talking about the out side black strip between the front side window and the rear side right ?

It's painted and cleared underneath so you can take it off if you like. I think it adds a finished look to the car by making the windows a complete, continuous section, but I can respect your opinion. Your window frames are already black anyways so it should look fine.

They paint and clearcoat the cars before the blackout film is applied on the line.
