Replacing timing belt and noticed a big red puddle on ground right under the transmission!

I'm right in the middle of replacing timing belt, sprockets...pretty much all timing components and noticed the growing red puddle right under the transmission! I thought it was the drain plug bc the bottom is all wet and visible drops but it seems to be running down the sides from above. It wasn't leaking before, what did I do?!

Did you add brake fluid or maybe the cap is loose for it? That sits above the transmission, just a thought

No...my brake fluid is clear and not leaking. I do have an output seal leak which I'm gonna replace once I'm done with the timing, but that leak was just a trickle. This leaked about 1/3 of a quart overnight. Maybe I jacked the engine too high when I needed more room to replace the water pump.

You’re probably right about the output shaft seal, it was a trickle at one angle, which turned into a torrent when you jacked it up. Sounds like it was about time to replace that seal
