Shift knob replacement

It is not threaded, the stock unit is just press fitted. You can use a tap & dye set to make it the threads of your choosing.
Is the post threaded not the knob and if so what's the size I know the OEM knobs aren't threaded and they are junk had the dealer replace one because the "rubber/leather" separated from the part with the numbers on it twice now and this time I'm looking at a bad ass boba Fett helmet knob that's custom and the guy has several options for thread sizing so i figured I'd ask and get the right one the first time lol

Great no real way to put what I want on then without having to basicly just glue it in place that's just craptastic......well on that note anyone know the diameter of the shaft

Just get a die and cut threads on the shaft. If I recall correctly, a lot of people do 12x1.5 or so. Guessing the shaft itself is something like 13mm, but I haven't had mine off yet.
Also keep in mind that the reverse lockout ring goes into the bottom of the shift knob so the new knob either needs to be countersunk or high enough to not block this (on a 6 speed).
