Shiny intake and Exhaust mods

I went ahead with the Spectre kit with black couplers and had my muffler removed and capped with a tip. Swiss cheesed the air box on the bottom about 75% has K&N drop in there too. Car seems to run fine and turbo can be heard. Sound inside was increased only slightly with no drone noticeable.

Looks good, do you have a pic of the Swiss cheese mod?

No drone because the muffler does nothing to reduce drone so you can run w/o a muffler w/o any problem.

I added the rest of the Spectre intake today. I need to make a bracket for under the pipe to hold it at the front by the core support. Sounds much better than the swiss cheesed air box.

I recently did a Spectre intake as well, but I only used the 90 off the top hat then the MAF and filter. Should I worry that I went super short on the intake?

I was tuned prior to chopping my lid off but I'm pretty sure others didn't have a problem running stock or prior to tuning.

Then you have ECP and it doesn't matter, as Vince said one time (also didn't recommend), you can run a piece of 4" pipe with panty hose for a filter and it will run fine.

Yeah no junk on the turbine for me, I'm just trying to get the filter in a decent location to get a tube to fit and feed the filter fresh air from below without bringing in any water or junk.

I think you're good to go. Your filter isn't np any further than anyone else with the RNI set up.

I don't have anything to take pictures with but imagine the maf tube then the filter right after the 90 off the top hat It's very short compared using the 45 probably 4" shorter.

Huh, and you have the budget tune so you can't log it to see if its okay. If you have a scan gauge or the such I would just check for CEL's every once in a while and watch for the light on the dash.

Got my home made bracket done . Took a tail pipe hanger and modified it. Ground it and shaped it mounted under cone filter. Seems to work good.

Nice, and it will flex a little vs being hard mounted.
