Smoking again!

Ok, so I know there are threads on here with white smoke out the exhaust after boost decel. But none (that I have found) ever tell if the problem was ever fixed. I just got my car back from the dealer. They installed a Brand new turbo under warranty. Just put my down pipe back on and BOOM still smoking out the exhaust. Has anyone had this fixed. Really don't want to go back to the dealer took a month just to get this turbo.

It is possible one or more of the pistons has broken ring lands.Sounds like they mis diag it to begin with.

Only does it at high boost though with hard decel? guess I need to run a compression test.

All cyls should read close to 200 psi.

Dry result all 170
wet result all 180
seems like engine is fine they are all consistent

I was just wondering this. I have driven it little over 500 miles since I got it back

1 Mile with the down pipe back on. Wonder if it could be new turbo blow off too.

I'd drive like it's new for a few hundred miles...
How are you seeing the smoke? Friends telling you as their behind you, or you see evidence in the mirror?

I can see it for like half a second. co workers say its a big puff when they are behind me. Cloud size depends on how long i boost.

keep close eye on oil level...drive another week like Grandma has the car...see if that clears it out.

Otherwise...yeah...dealership...so much fun too!

Do a leakdown test, not a compression test. It will tell u more than a compression test

Dumb question but since when does white smoke relate to burning oil?
Isn't oil always blue and white indicates water?

It has a blue tint I guess. I just call it white.

Just make sure you're 100% sure in what it's doing.

If it's steam it'll disappear fairly fast. Smoke from oil is bluish and will stay. Grey / black smoke is from fuel and also stays a while.
