Installed this honeycomb screen tonight. As to the effectiveness, I can't really confirm anything. Seems to feel smoother going from closed to part throttle, but only have about 15 miles on it.
I suspect the real beneft would be to anyone tuning themselves. I would send a datalog to trifecta to see if they see any difference, but I'm sure I would get the standard "everything looks good, no adjustments neccesary". Only thing I can think of would be to go to the dyno, but I won't be doing that til spring, so if anyone with more knowledge than me wants to try this, it cost about $15, and took maybe 2 minutes.
The screen came from saxon pc, and it's 70mm (you have to specify custom size when ordering). 70mm fits the DDM intake, I can't say for any others. Basically, I removed the filter and slid the screen in until it bottomed out. Pretty tight fit, and now it is sandwiched between the recess of the filter, and the intake tube(70mm is the OD of the intake tube).
