Sonic 2015 Dusk Edition: LA Auto Show Photos

I was able to get to the LA auto show this weekend and Chevy had the Sonic Dusk edition available.

I took some photos in case anyone is interested to see the Dusk's current form.

I like the exterior color a lot, it really shines. The interior two tone is great except for one thing-- the "piano" black plastic you see on the center console stack. It is such a magnet for smudges and mess that things will always looked scuffed.

The seats are nicer than my current LTZ in terms of comfort. Also, the back seats have the two tone color scheme so its a uniform flow throughout.

I totally get what you're saying about the smudges, but since you have the touch screen you'll see that it is also a haven for smudges as well. Just get used to keeping a microfiber dry cloth in your glovey, you'll wipe it every day for two seconds and it'll always look showroom quality!!

I really with I could understand GM's logic behind NOT issuing this type of vehicle in a hatch....IMHO the hatches are clearly the "sportier" model and the dusk upgrades appear to take on more of a sportier look than an elegant look so why not for the hatch? Odd....

It's your checkbook, but the first thing I'd do with such a nice interior is drop $200 on Weathertech mats for front and back, and maybe even another $100 on the trunk liner. Then another $250 on springs and another $200 on 5% tint all around, remove all the badging, and you have a rather impressive "modded" ride to onlookers that would have no idea that you don't even have a grand into it!!

I like to 2 tone but not the Center Console color. Any other color that would not attract so much from the interior, and with all the small scratches and Smudges you'd get...not so sure...interior wipes would come in handy for this...lol. BUT..I live in Alaska so I won't be seeing THIS car at ALL...lol

looks like the seats are the RS seats, just without thr RS emblems on it and obviously the colored center. i agree though, this package should be on the hatch as well as the sedan, better marketting IMHO, not everyone wants a hatch, and not everyone wants a sedan, so put the package on both body styles for max sales

Are the dusk/RS seats any different than, say, the LTZ seats? I know they have a different cover, but is the structure/foam/bolstering any different?

I disagree with the comments about the piano black center console. It looks way better than the gray, and to those who cover theirs with smudges after wolfing down a bunch of french fries, what are you doing eating in your car in the first place? And why are you rubbing your greasy paws all over the center console? I've yet to get a smudge on mine. It really classes up the interior.

Agree with barrstev

Don't see the complication with the piano black, looks super sharp when its clean and after 6 months I might wipe the interior down with protectant every two months but unless you got kids that youd let eat in the front seat seems to be durable and mines not scratched or showing wear after 11,000 miles.

I don't regret anything about ordering the dusk sedan. Went to a Porsche club autocross and they couldn't believe it was a Chevrolet product. Especially with the mods ive done. I wanna post some more pics soon after adding the bolt ons for autocross season this year!

The black paint withstands a lot of abuse, haven't scratched it yet! Greasy fingers keep the black nice and shiny. Just wipe with your napkin to make it look nice and smooth.

I can't Find this Car on the Chevy site even IF I wanted one, only the available cars are just the LS.LT.LTZ.& RS, can't even find the Package for it.

Cant even find this on their website.

You have to build an ashen gray ltz to get the option for the dusk package.

Or just click the seats with mojave inserts on the ashen gray color option and it will add the extra $ 2030 for the dusk package automatically.

Like Topaz blue turbo said, it's there. If you're building an LTZ sedan it will also add the Dusk package by selecting the 18" wheels, or four wheel disc brakes, or when you get to the options the Dusk package is in fact a trim package you can select.

But you are right that it is not a model you choose at the start of the build & price, it's a trim package.
