Sonic Color of Choice?

I'm curious about the blue. I know it won't be out until later in 12. My question is what is going to be the gamma 2? What changes does it entail? After 6 months of having the sonic out they are switching to the gamma 2 setup???

It will be interesting to see what they plan on doing for the updates. I suspect its just to fix any minor issues that may arise at launch. I don't think it will be as big as new features or cosmetic changes other than the blue color.

You never know. KIA added led tailights, push button start, 6 speed automatic transmission, paddleshifters, and navigation to the forte koup 1 year after it came out.

It would be nice to know exactly what is involved with the gamma 2 setup.

Orion Assembly is using a paint system I do not recall any other automaker using, but correct me if I am wrong. They call it a "wet" system, in that the primer is covered by the color which in turn is covered by the clear coat, all wet before the next, then the oven to bake it all in one go. I could not tell if this lessens orange peel, mainly because it am rarely able to perceive orange peel even when it is pointed out to me, but it does lessen the number of times the body has to go through the oven, and that should be a good thing.

I have no doubt that I will be going with a white, but since this will be a summer only/track toy I may go with black just because I won't have to worry about keeping it clean in the winter time! Hmmmmm

I'm still trying to figure out if the orange is going to be that copper color from all the artists renditions, or the orange that looks like the old SVT Focus Competition Orange. If it is not the copper color, then I am totally wanting orange. Otherwise, I'm going white.

It has to be a red 5 door. Have a 1999 red S10 and a 2001 Cavalier 2dr in red. It's the only color I never get sick of.
