Since this is a common problem with this engine, I am sure there are many other posts on this issue. But I still have an overheating issue even though I have replaced the water pump, thermostat, and a cracked plastic tube/connection on the drivers side of the engine on our 2017 Sonic 1.4 Turbo. The fan works, and we have no leaks in hoses or radiator. We filled the coolant and removed air in the system per instructions found on the internet (which may or may not be correct). Sitting in the driveway and running at 2500 rpm until the fan comes on, the car runs fine and the cooling system seems to be working well since there is no overheating alarm. However get it out on the road and soon it indicates that it is overheating and sprays coolant out the vent near the radiator cap. Could the cap be bad??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jeff
