SPECIFIC hid question concerning bulbs

DO NOT REPLY WITH OPINIONS ON HID, USERS, OR BEING BLINDED BY HID. I WANT INFO ON A SOURCE OF BULBS ONLY...THANKS

i know the debate is on, and there's a thread on this subject. i also know that putting some foreign bulb in place of factory will cause issues because I HATE THE JERKS THAT BLIND ME ON THE STREET..so, in so saying that i want HID but not the typical hid 'bulb'....

where can i find an HID bulb that is built around the stock bulb form???

whether it's a typical bulb with shields...or a bulb designed around the specifications of the h11/2005/6 bulbs.

i know they are out there and after about 2 hours of google and yahoo i cannot seem to find them. i remember when i was on yaris forum (uses h-4) they had a bulb with with a shield that moved via solenoid and provided both high and low beams in one hid bulb.

any way...i want HID, but i also want the factory beam cutoff points and lines. thanks

This is where I'm ordering mine from. The headlight lens would need to be removed. These hook right up to the stock housing. Reseal the lens and install.

i've seen some of these before and require EXTENSIVE modifications to the headlight housing. this says it just clicks in place. i'm assuming that you remove the lens cover and put it in backwards (refrencing the bulb)??? and then re-install the lens cover.

i would like to be able to convert back to the oem setup when i get rid of the car. plus these look like integrated bulbs.

plus, the mentiond projectors use a single housing for high and low beam. although nice...completely not necessary as we have a high and low beam setup

You are correct, this will require modifying. I am picking up a new set of headlights to do the conversion over the winter. While you can get just low or high beam HID projectors. Its purely a servo moving the cut off shield causeing either half the beam to show(low) or all or it(high).

In theory, if you just buy an HID kit and putting the bulb in, it will not have the correct cut off, causing a blinding effect to oncoming drivers. Adding in these projector housings will correctly project the beam of light as well as have to nessessary cut off.
