Stock antenna question.

Just a quick question, does the stock antenna also have a cellular antenna in it?

I ask because when I installed my current one, and made a call yesterday, the reception was horrible and I had multiple drop outs during the call.

If its not too much to ask, could someone do a test by putting the stock antenna on, making a call with Siri using the car, and again with the Shark Antenna? Would like to know if I just stumbled onto something here or if its just me.

I may be wrong but I thought the mylink just routes everything to your phone, and your mylink doesn't do anything

I agree. My phone has a terrible reception all the time and I always get dropped calls, but when I use my gf's phone on the mylink it works like a charm.( she has a better cell company) so I think its the phone.

Okay your right, I did the test myself and it was indeed the phone and crap reception. Was weird because when I made that call, it was the middle of Sydney, where you would think it would have decent reception. Thanks to those who replied

Phone calls go from your phone not through the cars antena.
I live out in the sticks & my calls drop out every now & then but that's just coz of where I am, nothing to do with the shark fin on my roof.

I see stuff like this all the time on Gumtree.
They basically strip the cars down and sell the parts, would be a great place for people wanting that Barina bumper or badge or whatever.
Send them a message and ask if they ship internationally. Im sure if they say no, and enough people ask, they will.
