Which ones ? I just ordered a set of neurotoxin . 300$ all in lol so cheap and I can keep my 15 optimos , and I also have extra 15inches toyo as back up once those are worn out

This old girl had 179k miles on her when she got into a fight with a tree and lost.


Guess its time to move on. I'm going to try and get another Mercedes diesel car. Looking at a e300 right now with a 6 cylinder non turbo but gets 30mpg

Yep ford had the old 6.9 idi and 7.3 idi non turbo and a few rare mercs are non turbo witch is fine they run more like a gas engine then they do a diesel still produce massive power

So the good news is there is a slim chance we can revive her. But parts are not easy to find

Check out old school diesel rabbits. I think they had a 1.6 NA. I drove one once a few years ago. It was so slow it was funny.

Smoked like crazy too, which added to the laughter.

That's the funny thing about diesels. They can run way cleaner and produce much more power with a turbo then they can without one. Diesels love extra air.

Another interesting thing about turbo diesels is that there are a fair amount that have been made that do not have a wastgate.

That is due to the fact they Dont make there own vacuum there for what ever air is available at the time is what goes into the engine.


And I delete the waste gate on all me diesels. Also I delete the mechanical turbo brake if it has one

Diesel comes out of the cut quite a bit lower on the crude oil cracker, before its refined. Meaning that less heat and pollution is required to produce it than finer fuels like gasoline and jet fuel.

But it burns dirtier, longer chain hydrocarbons...

The higher refined petro products must have sulfur cracked from them. So while the end product doesn't have high sulfur content to burn, large amounts of unusable, potentially toxic sulfur byproduct is produced.

So really it's hard to weigh carbon for carbon, between pollution of diesel and gasoline. Diesel is cleaner to make but burns dirtier. Gas is dirtier to make but burns cleaner.

And with the ULSD, catalytic converters, particulate filters and high pressure common rail systems diesels have become pretty clean. However, like the early gasoline emissions, the have been problematic.

Still not a big fan of common rail. Ya it works greats great but I like the old p pumps that I can run veggy oil in. Witch is what I did in the 82 Mercedes I had

But none the less all the recent diesels I had where common rail and its nice with electronic fuel injection to just plug in a tuner vs rip half the engine apart getting the damn pump off. And god forbid if you got the timing off on the pump reinstalling it

Also remember diesel trucks (pickups) get better fuel milage then there gas counterpart. So in the end you are using less fuel then a gas engine to move the same vehicle. So IMO it kinda balances out.

My last 5.9 got 24 and it was a crew cab dullay. The last 2500 v10 we had got 14. ( if you babyed it) and it was a ext cab long bed

Note to self use spring compressor to take off springs ( hit my brother in law in the nuts was funny as hell)
