My wife's 2012 Sonic sedan, 1.8L auto, with 65k miles is making a sulphur smell when she pulls into the garage. I'm pretty sensitive to odors like this, so it may not be as bad as it sounds. And it is only doing it now that the outside temps are 5 to 10 F. No warning lights or Engine light.
Online searches come up with a failing catalytic converter, which is somewhat expensive, but it only does it when it is really cold out.
Any others have a similar issue? If it is failing, is this covered under the 80K emission warranty?
