Tint

Just got 35% tint on my doors and 20% on the back hatch. I almost thought about getting 20% done all over, but 35% has always been dark enough for me. Also, if I move to a state that has tint inspections, I'd hate to have to remove it.

What tint do you guys have?

The guy asked me if I wanted a small strip on the top of the windshield. I declined. Does anyone have this small tint strip? Does it help at all?

On the sedan we have 5/5/30 and about a 10 inch long shade band on the windshield

5% windshield strip, back/hatch. 20% front two. I did the 35/20 on my old car and hated it, way too light. This is perfect.

Im so pissed my tc came tinted from the dealer I was gonna do 5 all the way around and the windshield.

I've had 12% all the way around in the past. I loved it, nobody could see in. 5% sounds nice as well! Have you thought about removing the dealer installed tint and starting over?

Yeah it just sucks that its a markup ive paid for now not only do I have to pay for the tint I want but the removal

I was originally going to get 20% all over, then I thought about getting 20% on the back windows and 35% on the front. However, I think that matching tint looks better, so I decided on 35% on the four doors.

I kinda wish I had gone with 20%. I've never heard of anyone here being harassed by cops, but if I ever move to another state, I don't want to have to rip tint off.

20% on all the doors and the back glass of my sedan and 5% strip on the windshield..I love it..keeps the car cooler and also looks better..I hate the fish bowl and it is now miserable to drive non tinted cars.

I got my tint the day after buying my Sonic, I went a little more traditional. 35% on front, 17% on back. Will post pics soon.

I didn't do the windshield strip, just a personal thing as I didn't like it on my last vehicle.

I have 5% all around and visor tint is 9" down in the center and 10" down at the ends. I love it dark, its cooler and when the sun sets the visor blocks the light coming in my eyes even hitting my chest area

I have 45% Carbon Tint on the front sides and 18% Carbon Tint on the Rear Sides and Rear Window. Nothing on the front windshield as of yet. plan on getting a strip of tint put on it sometime soon.

I considered it but I think the factory tint is enough, plus I don't have to worry about getting pulled over for it.

What percentage is the factory tint?

I didn't even know you could get factory tint on the car.
