Tinted tails on Inferno orange sedan

So had some time to kill at work today and took my tails out to give them a little tint

Used VHT nightshades and had the body guy at my work shoot some clear on there real quick

any questions or want a tutorial just ask!

did you get them powder coated at some paint shop and if so how much did it cost. thinking about doing the same if it not to expensive.

i used a spray can called VHT nightshades
you can get it almost any auto store

I just applied about 4 coats
then had the auto detail guy who comes to my work spray some clear on it so it looks shiny

you can use spray can clear i tried but i didnt put enough coats
i followed this tutorial

but i have to let mine sit for a day before i can wetsand and buff it

I like it with the wheels. I kinda dislike the non-hatch sonic personally, but you did a great job on the work. It looks like an insect!! Hah, but that's not your fault and that's just my opinion.

No trouble with cops had tinted tails on my old white truck and they
Never said a thing.

And yeah I think my car will look a lot better once it's stanced out really lOw
Only need a few more $$ for coilovers

I'm wondering now... what if you were to tape out the circles where the lights are, and spray that on, then clear coat the whole thing to get it shiny? You know, so it would kind of mimic the look of the headlights/hatchback tail lights... hmmmmmmmm.....

I'm interested in blacking out my tail lights also, but I definitely don't want to get into any cop trouble. What's legal? Can I niteshade them, or buy a vinyl tint? Any suggestions?

I'd suggest nightshades if you can get someone to clear coat them for ya
I have never personally gotten in trouble with the law but I have had friends who have been hassled but I'd check with your local law I think in Missouri they has to be visible from 500 feet

I used the nightshade. Came out real nice if ya know what your doin. Shot some clear on it too. You can use tint but its not fun getting it to form to the headlights. Technically the law says the tail lights have to be red and they have to be able to be seen from a certain distance. So dont go too dark like me...lol
