Top end/timing issues?

2014 LT. Sat idling for about 20-30 minutes after a 1.5hr drive. Took of and after about half a mile under mild-hard acceleration it lost power, rattled like a spray paint can it wasn’t a knock, and dumped blue smoke. I pulled over there was no abnormal noises at idle. Oil level was fine. Get about 5 miles down the road and had to get on the highway so hard acceleration again and it did the same thing only worse. It was completely fine for the rest of the 2 hr drive. Any ideas on where I can start diagnosing? No codes that I would think are related.

My 13 1.8 did the same thing today, did you have any luck troubleshooting?

Sounds like oil pooling in the head and getting sucked in through the PCV system.

I ordered a new pic valve, have you had a similar problem?

It would happen to the Suzuki cars I used to drive. They would get blowby from poor maintenance and wear, which would pressurize the crankcase. When oil pooled in the valve cover it would get sucked in though the PCV system and cause a temporary power loss and a big puff of blue smoke.
