Trifecta, Emissions test??

took mines last week. had no problem, i passed with my exhuast cutout also. i was in and out less than 5min.

The PA emissions test consists of "is your check engine light on?" and "have you driven the car long enough since the last reset for all the CEL counters to click over?"
I passed with a Trifecta tune last year, no problem. This year, I have had a persistent set of codes we have been unable to fix, something about the engine running rich; at any rate, I reset the CELs using my ultragauge, drove 150 miles, then took it in for inspection. About 30 miles later, the CEL was back... but I was clear for inspection purposes!

Matters on the mods you have with the tune.
If you have the 02/DP no cats and the bypass mod no it will not pass the CA test.
I have two of my cars reg in northern NV for the reason of not passing CA test.

The reason I am asking about the emissions test is my local Trifecta dealer, emailed me last week that he has an updated flash for my car. When he originally loaded the canned tune I had him install it in the transparent mode so I could use my cruise to turn the tune on and off. I've had the tune in my car now for a couple of months and now I can't think of any reason that I would ever want to turn it off...unless for emissions test.
Since the K&N intake or any other manufacture's induction is not DOT approved in CA, the only mods I have is the canned tune and a drop in K&N cartridge.
This is not my go fast car, we have a 550i Beemer that fills that requirement nicely. Our Sonic is our second car and our tow car for our RV. Can anybody think of any reason I shouldn't reload the tune... with the tune ON all the time?
