Tuning for a small increase in power

I've been searching the forums for posts in regards to tuning the turbo to get some more power out of it. It seems like most of the posts refer to a Trifecta tune and a tune from Vermont Tuning. I've also seen posts where people don't recommend these tunes as their customer support is not good.

What I'm looking for is a tune that provides a small gain and won't put a lot of additional wear and tear on the turbo or other engine components. Also, it would be ideal if its something that I can just reset back to stock when needed. I have absolutely not experience with tuning. Saying all of that, is Trifecta and Vermont Tuning really the only two options available?

There are others available on some of the sponsor sites like Bad News Racing. The diablosport intune might be something to look into. It's self-contained and doesn't need a laptop and has a few different tunes made for different octane ratings to select from. The 91 octane one offers +27 hp and raises boost to ~18 psi.

Orrrrrr, crazy thought, you could try BNR's EFILive tune. Gets you a handheld device to store tunes and load them, allows you to datalog, and Jerry is an absolute tuning wizard and will be in your corner for whatever you need. You're not just buying a tune from them, you're buying a tuning service. The power increase is UNREAL. Seriously, it's insane. I'm pushing almost 22 PSI now and have easily gained 35 hp, if not more.

BNR can tune you for whatever power level you want

I have a very mild tune on my turbo compared to his normal one. Works great

Thanks all for the suggestions and information. I'd really like to have a place that supports their product, so it sounds like the BNR might be the one to go for. From the description is also sounds like I can do a mild tune which is what I'm going for.

It's extremely cheap and easy to do and I noticed a big difference in my stock Sonic.
